I am passionate, highly skilled, and consummate Civil Marriage Celebrant and wedding specialist; dedicated to making your wedding ceremony unique, stylish and professional.
My two main focuses are to guide couples throughout the whole process and their wedding day; seamlessly and stress-free so that they can truly be in the moment and enjoy their wedding day.

My other focus is to provide a ceremony that you will treasure and share with not just your loving other, but also with family and friends.

Why did you become a celebrant?

Becoming a full time Civil Marriage Celebrant was a natural transition for me, having had the experience of a fantastic celebrant presiding over my own wedding in Thailand.
As I reflected on the wonderful ceremony and how the celebrant was discreetly in the background but an integral part of making the ceremony so personal and memorable;
I decided that I would love to take on the role of a celebrant in other people’s memorable occasions, making them feel relaxed and incorporate their personalities into their dream ceremonies.
All of my residing skills easily transferred across to my celebrancy work, which made it effortless for me to focus more on how to continue to excel in this profession, consistently evolving as a Civil Marriage Celebrant. Who doesn’t love weddings?!

What was your first wedding?

The first wedding that I presided over was my brother’s wedding and it turned out to be fabulous! My intent was not to become a Celebrant just to officiate that wedding; I wanted a shift in profession.
The amount of pressure I placed on myself to make sure that everything was perfect was massive, as I didn’t want to ruin my brother’s wedding day!
Everything on the day and during the ceremony went perfectly and guests had asked me how many weddings I had already officiated as it was an excellent service…it was then, I knew that I was doing something special and fell deeply in love with what I was doing! My wedding passion was born and my business went BOOM- and took off!!

How long have you been a celebrant for?

I was authorised as a Civil Celebrant by the Attorney General at the end of 2009 and have presided over HUNDREDS of weddings for happy couples.
Therefore, my specialised wedding knowledge is extensive- giving couples more ideas, tips, and guidance for a smooth ceremony. This is also evident in my professionalism.

What do you do outside your role as a Celebrant?

Outside of my role as a Celebrant I am a mumma of two little kiddies, who I adore spending time with either playing superheroes or singing the words to Frozen. I am a commissioned artist being exhibited in Melbourne galleries and I display a keen sense of creativity and I have an eye for detail.
I have also been teaching Psychology, Science, and Sport at a well known Melbourne Secondary school since 2004. I hold an undergraduate Degree in Science and a post graduate, Diploma of Education (Secondary) from Melbourne University. Thus, my organisational skills, listening skills, excellent communication, time management and methodical principles are evident and advantageous to my celebrancy skill set…making everything very easy for my couples. I have everything under control?
I also enjoy spending time with my hubby, having a good laugh, enjoy travelling, entertaining my friends, enjoying a beer/wine or two, eating desserts, eating chocolate and cheese, listening to music, gardening, reading and playing sport (especially basketball).
I believe that with my varied background I have the necessary skills to make your celebration everything that you want for a perfect day!

Over the years my business has grown exponentially and this growth triggered me co-founding a celebrant group with two others, called The Modern Celebrants, in 2011.
This network and referral group consisting of five Celebrants was in part created to address the ever increasing demand of my services of more Couples wanting to book my services- being highly sort after and booking up quickly. I always have a backup system/Celebrant ready in case of illness or accident thanks to the formation of The Modern Celebrants group.
